Grandsons do Preston's HOPE Playground (8/5/2016)

Friday, August 5, 2016
First thing every morning it was time for chores.
Dylan fills the bird feeder
He can reach to put the feeder on the shepherd's hook
Pete waters the "floating " plants
Still more water in the watering can
Pete finished the Ninjago Master Wu Dragon from Legos
Afternoon trip to Preston's HOPE Playground Park, a fully accessible playground for children of all abilities and disabilities, established in 2007. The inspiration was Preston, a boy with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), who wished to play in a park with all other children.
Preston's HOPE entrance;
(the camera was foggy due to humidity)
Pete and Dylan on the seesaw
Pete and Dylan on the swings
Learning Braille panel
Imagination Village
Bank of America "branch"
(Bank of America does not currently
have a presence in Ohio)
Police Chief Pete and Fire Chief Dylan
(who is all knees!)

Car overload!
Dylan gives Pete a push on the zip line
Dylan does not need a push!
Like stepping stones
Operating the sand shovel
A thirteen-year old bonds with Dylan
Boat Swing
And in the evenings: Monopoly.
Dylan and Pete like to "horse-trade" in Monopoly!
Next: Sorry, they are going home tomorrow!
